Kasabian

Project Overview:

As part of Capital’s commitment to artist development, alongside Sony/BMG, it was one of those calls, “come over to the office as there’s a new band we have just signed that we’d like you to assist us with!” After the showing of a short video recorded in a smoky club with four dishevelled looking lads from Leicester – we had seen our first snippet of Kasabian. They needed a guy to drive them around and mix the house sound for a modest daily pay…. right up Capital’s street! It was soon apparent this was no average pub band and with 5 sold out tours within 12 months Capital had worked alongside record company and management to take the guys from a splitter to a 3 truck full production tour concluding in Alexandra Palace with a sold out crowd of 8000 and over a 30 strong touring entourage. With changes in personnel along the way Capital enabled management and record label to enjoy the continuity of office support and back up throughout all tours.

The challenge with this project was matching crew to the rapid growth of the artist and to ensure that at all times the production delivered was above what was required. Kasabian now stand high as one of the world’s most exciting live acts with production levels that exceed expectations.
