NME 2005
Project Overview:
Whilst Capital were James Gebhard's (F.O.H Engineer for The
Killers
and the Strokes) preferred company for
this tour there was an interesting political situation as all four artists
were technically supposed to receive equal billing and equal support
from service companies. Ultimately
the decision on Audio Supplier would be made
by the promoter (SJM).
After
assuring SJM we would supply our usual professional
approach to
all four artists, Capital was confirmed for the tour. The
tour proved to be a success and Capital have subsequently acquired
both the Futureheads
and Bloc Party as new clients
for 2005, alongside continuing to provide
The Killers with audio support
in Europe for their live shows.
Client history:
Capital has worked for SJM on numerous projects over the years; most
notably the V Festivals where audio has been
supplied on two stages at
both sites Since V began in 1997. The NME Tour,
whilst being an annual event, was a new project to Capital.
Having already worked with James during 2002-2004 Capital were again approached
by James to provide sound for the Winter NME Tour.
